Is It Fair? I Think Not..

So many times we hear the word of “Election”. Can you imagine how complex it is? Have you ever thought critically about what going on with the election is?

As a common people, may be some of us often suppose that election is only a process of selecting and selected, and finally it determines who the best leader is for the community. But… How far we know about this election? What about general election in Indonesia? I’m really sure that not all people know it so well… Most of us still think simply about the election that happens in Indonesia, right?

Let’s see the fact... We often see an election candidate has a campaign on the road, wide yard or somewhere else. After that, they give you money for attracting your attention towards them. The worse one, we will take that money unwisely, and then we’ll have a paradigm that he is the best leader for us and we must choose him on the election. Absolutely, this is the big problem that can’t be solved till now, guys.

Do you know why? Because, that kind of campaign is illegal. Indonesia’s government still apply regulation that’s every campaign must be free from any kind of bribery, even it just give little sum of money.. But in the other side,  the fact shows that most of election candidates always use bribery to attract society. It’s not only happen on mayoral election campaign, but also happens on village head election campaign. Yah, how pity Indonesia is…

If we think more, we can say that those who can be the leaders are those who have much treasure, and those who have no so much treasure are the losers, right? This is the big reason, why the election in Indonesia is not the fair election. And of course it’s so contrast with Indonesia’s election principle, those are: Direct, general, free, secret, honest, and fair.

Bribery is a form of crime. And this is also affecting the quality of the leader on the future. Why? Because the societies choose the candidates base on the sum of money that’s given to them, then they never ever know about the real quality of the candidates.

So, guys… All things that people have said about the fairness of Indonesia’s general election is absolutely wrong.. They just see Indonesia’s general election from the front side, and they never see it till the inside of it.

As young men, we must prepare our nations to be better… We must build up the true fairness. And we must throw away the bribery in our country, even though it just the smallest part of bribery. So, prepare yourselves for our best future J
